Well done paddlers, good to see the scoring so tight despite the different routes taken.
The "bummer, dude.." award has to go to Andrew. He made the long voyage down to W4 but after much searching could not locate the mark (it is still there) and had to come all that way back upwind empty-handed!
The VC (valiant cock-up) goes to Mark, who went for the Jewel in the Crown S5, but paddled up the wrong stream until he was pushing himself along with his knuckles! He got it in the end though..
Chester is awarded a Purple Heart for going after B2 on the bridge in Te Onepoto Bay barefooted. He came away empty-handed but left blood on the rocks to prove he had been there. Those bridges took their toll!
